Netflix Unveils AI-Powered Interface to Revolutionize Content Discovery
In today’s high-tech world, the inception of artificial intelligence is changing the way industries work. From healthcare and supply chains to e-commerce and now entertainment—AI is everywhere. Netflix is also stepping up and making sure it stays ahead by using this powerful technology. Netflix does not wants to be second leveraging the opportunity.
In this context, Netflix rejuvenated its TV app interface and introduced generative AI to the iOS mobile platform in partnership with OpenAI . Netflix is rolling out a significant redesign of its TV and mobile applications, integrating artificial intelligence to enhance user experience and content discovery. It will allow search for shows and movies easier for its members.
Chief product officer Eunice Kim explained the motivation behind the redesign: “When we first started thinking about this project, we wanted to create an experience that was more flexible for our broad entertainment offerings, more intuitive and responsive to our members’ needs, and capable of elevating the most thrilling moments on Netflix.”
Key Features of The AI Powered Netflix
• Netflix will now give real-time show suggestions based on your mood and interests at that moment. The recommendation will be more responsive to each individual’s need.
• It’s also adding more shortcuts to help you find what you want to watch more easily. Search and My List features, previously somewhat hidden on the left-hand side, will be moved to the top of the page for better visibility and easier access.
• The company is adding a vertical video feed to make watching and sharing shows easier on mobile devices. The TikTok-style vertical video feed will allow users to save or share clips with friends. These are some of the new features Netflix is introducing.
“We know that swiping through a vertical feed on social media apps is an easy way to browse video content, and we also know that our members love to browse our clips and trailers to find their next obsession,” Netflix Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim said.

“What’s most exciting to me is how our new TV experience gives us the ability to evolve and innovate more easily going forward. That’s how we’re going to make the Netflix people know even better. And it’s how we’ll continue to connect them with even more shows, movies and games they’ll love,” Kim said.
The updates will be made available globally to members in the coming months. Netflix will roll out these changes slowly, so users will see them step by step as the company checks feedback and makes improvements to enhance the viewing experience.
